Come Run With Us!!
All through the fall and winter we meet Saturday mornings at 8 am at the Copper Rock coffee shop on College Avenue. Come run 10 miles, where water is provided near mile 4. With shorter route options available. A great way to keep your shoes moving during those colder months. Bring a few bucks along and stop inside for a coffee and conversation afterwards. That's where we talk about nerdy things like how much heel to toe drop we have in our running shoes or how much goo to consume during a race.
Our intention is to have one more Fun Run this year on Wednesday November 13th at 6 pm, to be held at Fox Valley Technical College. This will be our first Nightlight Cocoa and Cookies Run! Just a short simple Fun Run followed by hot chocolate and cookies. Daylight savings will have ended by this date, so be prepared for darkness by bringing lights and reflectors.

Marriage is Like a Marathon
Many husbands and wives run marathons together, but how often do they win it? And by win it, I'm talking about being the overall top male finisher AND the overall top female finisher. But that very thing just happened on October 20th, 2024 during the 47th running of the Detroit Free Press Marathon.
After failing to complete the Olympic Trials last year, Andy Bowman crossed the finish line in 2:17. His wife Sydney Devore-Bowman, who had been sitting out the past 2 years recovering from an injury that nearly "killed her passion for running," finished soon after at 2:42.
