LONGTIME PACESETTER NED HUGHES HAS PASSED AWAY
We are sad to pass along the news that longtime runner and Pacesetter member Ned Hughes has passed away.
Ned was proud of his running accomplishments such as running over 100 marathons, including the first 29 Community First Fox Cities Marathons, and numerous 5k's, 10k's and other distance events.
Not only was Ned an active runner, he was a longtime Pacesetter board member and a big supporter of runs in our community for many years and will sorely be missed.
We will be holding a Celebration of Life for Ned on Sunday December 18th at 3:00 pm at the Best Western Premier Bridgewood Resort Hotel in Neenah. In honor of Ned, there will be an informal optional run/walk on the trail surrounding the hotel starting any time you wish between 2-3 pm. Refreshments will be served. If you have any pictures of Ned or old St. Joe's Run shirts please Contact Us so they can be used as part of the tribute.

SURVEY RESULTS FOR COMMUNITY FIRST FOX CITIES MARATHON TRAINING RUNS
Thanks everyone who submitted responses to our FCM Training Runs survey. Here are some of the results and takeaways:
- Over 90% were OK continuing with the Runaway Shoes location
- The responses were split between preferring simple out and back routes and using looped routes
- Although over 50% were OK with the routes we ran, about 30% wanted to see adding some routes south of Calumet St. We plan on adding 2 or 3 routes in that direction for 2023.
- Over 90% were OK with how the maps and street turns information was provided
- Nearly all were pleased with the food and drinks provided
- About 80% plan on attending some 2023 training runs
WINTER WARRIORS ACCOUNTABILITY PROGRAM
NEW for 2023, Fleet Feet's Winter Warriors program has had a facelift! If you are looking for a way to stay active and accountable through the cold winter months, then this Winter Warriors group is for you. Cold-weather running doesn't need to be intimidating, it's really just about having a few key pieces of proper gear and a group to motivate you to get out there. Same motivation and fun, a new level of flexibility to fit your schedule and your needs. Do you have what it takes to be a Winter Warrior?!
TRAINING AND FUN RUNS COORDINATOR POSITIONS
We are looking for volunteers for the following roles:
Training Runs Coordinator
Late May through September. Coordinate Saturday morning Community First Fox Cities Marathon training runs. Distribute routes and work with water station volunteers to prepare for weekly training runs.
Fun Runs Coordinator
April through October. Coordinate monthly Wednesday evening Fun Runs. Working with various venues and assuring post run food and drinks are available.
Understand that these events do not happen by themselves, we rely on volunteers to make sure we can continue to provide them for all group members. Please consider giving back to this group by helping out.
